My KL trip

helloOs everyone! yana here.. i hope you all are having a great time spending your holidays... err.. shopping? or mugging? hehee... anyways, as all of you know, i went to KL last fri till sunday and since KL is one of the destination we suggested gg for the class outing, kinda want to share with you my experience.

sadly, i don't have pics though to share with you. kinda a ritual for me to have a KL trip every year.

well, this year was the err... most boring KL trip i had cause all we did was... SHOPPING. wahaha.. on fri, we took off on a coach from IMM at 8am and we finally reached KL at ard 4pm. not sure cause it was RAINING and had to wait for the rain to stop in order to grab a taxi. interestingly, from a chat with a taxidriver, we found out that taxis most likely do not take passengers when it is raining. AND, you have to have a habit to ask the drivers whether they will be charging you by meter to your destination or if not bargain with them the price you will have to pay.

at night, my family went to what we call CHINATOWN. but i think there's a proper name for it. it's like this BIG pasar malam. i remember visiting the same place last year and it was more chaotic. it was during the WORLD CUP season so the stalls were selling a lot of football jerseys. there was this incident when i wanted to buy a brown adidas jacket. suddenly all around us, stalls were packing up some of their stuff. we were wondering what happened. well, there will be someone who looks out for the police. all the stallholders have their own walkie talkie and when the signal is given out, they packed all the items that they are not suppose to sell or pirated or something like that. however, i did not see it happening this year so i guess it got stricter. maybe that's why the goods were not much of a variety. oh, if you can't seem to bargain with them to the amt that you want or lesser, just WALK AWAY. they will surely decrease the price. hehe...

i have to say that KL is a shopping heaven. but the goods sold at shopping complexes are no differ to those in spore. there are wider choices but the prices are not that low. my family spent most of the time shopping for hari raya clothes. i know... it's kinda early but the malay costumes and cloths are way cheaper.

well, this year we didn't go to 2 places we normally went: Berjaya Times Square Indoor Themepark and Colmar.

Indoor Themepark

the only adult ride that i've ride on is the rollercoaster! it was my first rollercoaster ride so i cannot compare it to any other rollercoasters in the world. however, it was exhilarating!!! it keeps turning, felt like i could fall and there's one part where it turns upside down.

but most of the time, i rode on children's rides to accompany my young cousins and siblings. so yeah, we can ride on the children's rides as well!!!

Adults (Height - 4’7” or 140cm and above) - RM25
Children (Height - below 4’7” or 140cm) - RM15
Children (Height - below 3' or 91cm) - FREE
Senior Citizens (55 years and above) - RM15

Colmar Tropicale

This is the place for those who wants a laid-back holiday. There are not much activities to be done. You can take tram rides to a Rabbit Farm. i think that is what it's called cause all i can remember is all the rabbits there. hehe... you can ride on donkeys. you can also play archery! there is a bowling alley nearby as well. one activity that is a must is plaster painting. you can paint it on the spot! and the stallholders are great painters themselves so they are able to help you when you need one!

Ok, hope that helps. or has it been decided? hahaha.. have not been informed of anything so... if you all wanna do shopping and go for the themepark, then KL is the choice!
